Carike (real name Elizabeth Maria Magdalena) Keuzenkamp was born on 3 March 1947 in Den Haag, Netherlands. She married Olaus van Zyl on 13 July 1968. They had a son and two daughters. In 2010 she received a SAMA award for her lifetime contribution to local music in South Africa. This song was track 2 on Side 1 of her album "Carike" issued in 1969.
