Uneducated Turkana MCA donates boats and nets to fishermen

Leah Nachere, the only elected woman Member of Turkana County assembly and uneducated stands out among her people as a leader of choice. 

The MCA who only communicates in her local dialect " Nga' turkana",  has continued to honor her pledge to the people of the lakeside ward of Turkana  by reaching out to the poor fishermen with boats and fishing gears from her monthly salary savings. 
The MCA's initiative is among the promises she made during her campaigns in 2017 in a heated election thwarting dreams of educated and male competitors.
