(13 Dec 2018) President Donald Trump said Thursday he's in the process of interviewing for his next Chief of Staff after John Kelly announced he'd leave the White House by the end of the year. Speaking to reporters during a White House meeting with the new governors-elect, Trump said he has five candidates, who he called "really good ones. Terrific people. Mostly well-known, but terrific people." Asked about the case of former national security adviser Michael Flynn, who pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about conversations with the then-Russian ambassador to the United States, Trump called him a "great person." Despite the guilty plea, Trump said the FBI said Flynn "didn't lie." Flynn is expected to be sentenced in the Russia probe next week.
