Society has long condemned people who become informants for authorities, with phrases such as "snitches get stitches". Yet, informants are an important part of law enforcement. Retired Police Officer Scott Sullivan looks back on his career and explores what his experiences can teach us about our views of "snitches". Life long Rhode Islander, Retired Police Officer from Portsmouth, RI and previously in Jamestown, RI. Trained as a DRE drug recognition expert. SRO school resource officer, received commendations for Impaired Driving Enforcement, Community Service, Drug Enforcement, and working with the addiction community. A graduate of Salve Regina University with a degree in criminal justice. Presented dozens of topics to thousands of students and parents throughout the state.
