Join me in this tutorial on how to clean a really dirty and nasty pair of shoes that you found at the thrift store, and then make them look good to sell for profit on eBay! My eBay Store: http://stores.ebay.com/mye-fabulous-finds?_rdc=1 My Instagram Handle: rise_n_grindpicker What I used to Clean The Rubber Sole on this pair of shoes: 1st round of cleaning Get a toothbrush and a bowl of white vinegar and scrub the area. Then same way apply white vinegar to the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and scrub. 2nd round of cleaning: Use the Toothbrush and either 70% or 90%+ rubbing alcohol. (the higher the alcohol content the better it gets stuff off) Then use the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser with the alcohol on the eraser and scrub. 3rd round of cleaning: I used Laquer Thinner which is extremely powerful (BE CAREFUL!!) I used the thinner on a abrasive white rag and scrubbed the rubber part. (if the rubber has paint on them do not use it will eat the paint off) You can also use cotton balls on the thinner to get inside the creases. (wear lots of rubber gloves, the thinner will eat through the rubber gloves). You can go back over them with alcohol if needed after this step (I did not do this). Thanks All Enjoy! Thank you for following my journey with me!!!
