We all know that exercise is good for us but how many of us are aware of exactly how good? Want to prevent heart disease and diabetes? Need to improve your cholesterol? Looking to manage or loose weight? Want to improve your mood, energy level and sleep? Then exercise may be the missing piece of the puzzle. I truly believe that being active is a huge key to aging well and staying healthy. I will admit, I'm not exactly where I want to be and am still working toward being more fit and in shape. So what do you say, want to get in shape with me? Here are my favorite ways to get the physical activity we need on a budget.

Yoga mat- $8
Exercise Ball- $15
Rebounder- $35
Free Weights- $4
Bike Trainer- 'Borrowed' from my brother
Total cost of my "home gym"- $62! This helps me get some exercise when I'm stuck at home, short for time or just want to multitask exercise with making dinner (haha). My gym membership costs me $11.50/ month. There I have a access to a huge selection of cardio equipment, weight machines, free weights, kettle balls, etc.
