- In Sura Tawbah, God mentions he intends to fully protect His nur, despite enemy wishes, one manifestation of which is ALI
- Enemies of Islam have endlessly attempted, however his name and image has been protected
- Ali is considered a pure Muslim, the embodiment of Islam
- The Prophet brought the message, in form of theory it manifested in the Qur'an, and in form of practice it manifested as Ali
- One characteristic of Ali is that he never bowed his head in the form of worship to an idol
- When it comes to the first Muslim, historians are unanimous about Bibi Khadija when it comes to females, however when it comes to males, polemics take over history, and they divide it into minor male, and adult male, placing Ali as a minor
- However this attempt to diminish Ali's status actually elevates him.

- God doesn't consider a sinful sahabi equal to a pious believing person. Ali is the mu'min, and Walid bin Mughayrah, a sahabi, was a fasiq
- To say Ali is like others goes against the standards set by God in the Qur'an, and amounts to injustice against Imam Ali

"Asking when Ali became Muslim is irrelevant. Tea, by nature, isn't sweet. If you drink sweet tea, you'd ask how the tea became sweet; the answer being that sugar was added. But if you ask the same question of sugar, when it became sweet? This isn't a valid question. Sugar is inherently sweet by definition. When it comes to all the Sahaba, you can ask when they became Muslim because they're like tea with sweetness. When it comes to Ali, you don't ask this question, because Ali & Imaan are like sugar & sweetness."

"God says a mu'min sahabi & a fasiq sahabi aren't on the same level. Don't tell me that we must treat Ali & all sahaba equally. Ali is the mizan & measure of the imaan of the rest of the sahaba. To diminish the status of Ali is actually challenging the standard set by Allah, for excellence in ilm, jihad, & imaan. To bring him down to the level of others isn't only about treating everyone equally; it is an injustice to Ali."
