This is Cesar Franck's adaptation of Panis Angelicus. This beautiful piece is performed here by Pontas Lindqvist. Pontus Lindqvist, born in 1986, is one of Sweden's current foremost boy sopranos. Strangley, the first time I heard this piece of music was in "The Thorn Birds" and it was sung by a boys choir. It wasn't in the film credits and it wasn't on the soundtrack. It was driving me bonkers because I couldn't find it. I finally listened to the first line and keyed what I heard into my computer.....and voila.....Panis Angelicus!!!
