March 19, 2007 The fields of nanoscience and biology have experience a convergence in that technologies from each field have had a major impact on the other. Biological nanostructures have served as inspiration for new synthetic materials and nanometer-scale devices have been used to probe biological systems. This presentation will focus on the development of technologies for interfacing synthetic and biological systems at the nanometer scale.
