Google Tech Talks August 24, 2007 ABSTRACT The idea is for professionals like yourself to work with small groups of students in order to get them excited about any activity or hobby that you are passionate about! We have had apprenticeships in the past in python programming, kick boxing, cooking, robotics, aviation etc run by your fellow Googlers. The time commitment is relatively small — the apprenticeship sessions is held every Wednesday afternoon for ~11 weeks, and each session lasts about 60 minutes onsite at Google. Training is provided for all volunteers, and a Citizen Schools staff member — someone who knows the students well and interacts with them three to five days a week — works...
