"India's situation is perilous- in all spheres of national existence; economy, internal and external security, state of the armed forces and state of our economy. India needs a generational change to empower its youth," says Former Defence Minister Jaswant Singh in an interview to Govindraj Ethiraj just before the 2014 General elections as the BJP was making a big push for power with Narendra Modi. Jaswant Singh articulates the stagnation and policy paralysis - charges which dominated Manmohan Singh's UPA led government's last 2 years in power. Charges which became the chief poll plank of the BJP as it made it's bid for power with a younger leader in Narendra Modi - who came with an image of decisive leader of "getting things done " In his interview Singh speaks of "reform the mindset - of the politicians and of the administration", his vision for India and how the state of the of then leadership was "appalling".
