Former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura is suing the estate of the late author Chris Kyle, who writes in his book American Sniper that he punched out Ventura at San Diego bar in 2006 where Navy Seal reunion and funeral party had gathered. In the book, Ventura reportedly said of the Navy Seals, "You deserve to lose a few." There is a high legal standard for a public figure like Ventura to win a defamation lawsuit. He must show that Kyle had malice and showed a "reckless disregard for the truth." FOX 9's Rob Olson was in US Federal Court for the trial and shares his observations.
