Log Testing Our Hand Forged Draw Knife

I didn't do right with you folks not giving a good test of our hand forged draw knife on a log with some pretty rough bark. Here is the test on a log that we need to mill for a top plate for our timber frame build. I am very pleased with the results and was even happier to see that it will hold an edge after the issues that I had with the heat treating. There is nothing like using a tool that is well made and you happened to make it yourself from just an impersonal chunk if steel. There is something about the steel taking shape on the anvil as you pound it out with aching arms and your ears ringing with every strike. It is an amazing feeling.
