Luke finally gets his plan together, and we finally meet the one behind everything; Jacob… A month and a half later, here's the next episode! I'm doing so well getting these out on a timely manner, aren't I? Well, next episode is the finale (which will be long) and then this series will officially be over. It's been a good run and this season was rather fun. Of course, I'll save everything for that description, so for now, enjoy the episode. In this episode: After the phone call and insisting Sierra stays back, Max meets Luke at the old warehouse. Luke is surprised Sierra didn't tag along, but rolls with it. While Max is looking for an entrance, Luke strikes him and takes his weapon. When Sierra arrives back in at the police station, she finds it empty. Concerned for Max, she tries calling him, but he never answers his phone, leaving her to worry. When Max wakes up, he finds he is with Maggie and Josh in a cage. Luke comes in, seeing that he's finally come around. He tells Max this trap makes them even. After demanding an explanation, Luke explains that Max must have told his family about what was going on and that he had to make sure it didn't get out, or else he couldn't be a police officer. He assures Max that Sierra, the only one left who knows, will be joining shortly. Launce comes in, sees what Luke has done and goes to yell at him, only to be turned on and put in the cage with the others. Luke orders his friends to keep a guard and goes about his business. Max, overhearing what they were talking about, decides to confront this "Launce." He goes on to tell about what he does and why, despite what the law might say. He takes in young criminals and helps straighten them out and send them back into the world using his own means. He also says his real name is Jacob, which Max immediately recognizes as a wanted criminal 14 years ago. Jacob says he's changed and Maggie urges him to tell the story why since they've got time. Jacob explains everything that happened. When he was younger, his parents went him out to make some money, of course, they told him to steal for it, and that's what he did. Anything to make a few bucks on, he would. One day, he overheard a fight about him and he heard the words about being adopted, so he packed up and left. He went around the area until he finally found the orphanage he came from and he got records on his real parents. He found out they were good people and wouldn't have wanted this from him, so he set out to fix things, until he ran into a girl. She was eager to help because she smelled adventure, so he let her tag along and they spent the next 4 years together trying to fix his life. When it was all over, he asked her to marry him, but she turned him down, saying there was someone else, and left. Afterwards he never heard from her again. He got word on the street she married the guy and now has a daughter. Going back to the present, he tells Max that his family is now what needs to be kept safe; not the one he never had. Talking to the guards, he gets them to leave to get some water and as soon as they're gone, he picks the lock with Maggie's bobby pin. He goes with them in hopes of getting them out of the building safely. When the guards come back, they see they're gone and call the others to search the building… Music by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)
