Each planet requires a sub-assemby of four gears. This is how they're assembled. This is part of a series of videos showing how I built an Orrery.. I designed the model and gear ratios while David Clark designed and engineered the mechanisms necessary to turn an idea into a working model. An Orrery is a working model of the motion of planets through our solar system.
