2010 SEASSI Khmer Intermediate Play: Sophat Part One

Every summer the Intermediate Khmer class at SEASSI (http://www.seassi.wisc.edu) reads the first Khmer novel, Sophat, in its entirety, and in Week 7 conceives of, scripts, rehearses and enacts a play based on the first seven chapters of the novel. This is the 2010 class' interpretation. Very well done, it's a fairly faithful, "classic" rendition, though it includes criticism of some of the views of the author. The author, Rim Kin, is actually incorporated into the play as a character, who does most of the narration.
