Philadelphia Zoo Cattle Egret Exploring and Looking in Hollow Log

The cattle egret is looking for something.  It peers into a hollow log a few times.  I wonder if it was looking for food that keepers had put there, or if it was looking for one of the teeny-tiny mice that sometimes scurry around in the exhibit area.
