In Syria, Turkish-backed forces have reportedly seized control of parts of Afrin on Sunday, after Kurdish YPG forces pulled out. The Free Syrian Army rebel group says fighters encountered no resistance when they entered the town shortly before dawn. More than 150,000 people from Afrin have been displaced in the past few days. Turkey hasn't yet commented. In January, it launched its military offensive to push out the Kurdish YPG in northern Syria. Meanwhile, Russian state media reports over 5,000 people have left Syria's Eastern Ghouta so far on Sunday.
