This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. With lessons learned through hard-fought battles in the gym, Camilla now shares her wisdom with her students.  Beauty is not about some ideal, but about a whole stable of character traits.

Camilla Meshiea Sheehan was born in London, England to a Libyan father and Nebraskan mother.  After receiving her MFA in Photography from SAIC, she opened a photo studio in Brooklyn.  On the side, she studied Muay Thai, ultimately winning an amateur welterweight title in 2007.  She moved to Savannah in 2008 and began working at a furniture company and CrossFit gym.  In 2011, she opened CrossFit SAV.  Camilla now writes a health blog for The South Magazine, is the creator of idefinemybeauty.org and is looking forward to launching MsFit Culture in 2015, an active wear line for strong, bodacious revels.
