Murphy is at the emergency vet. He had something similar to a seizure but we don't know if that's what it was. We do not know anything really - they did a CBC and it didn't reveal much other than elevated kidney levels which he has had for YEARS and they were actually a bit better than last year.

I asked my mom to write out the sequence of events, here they are:

    1. Heard him "coughing" like he was going to throw up a hair ball.
    2. I went up the stairs and rubbed his neck while he continued to "cough."
    3. Never did vomit, so I picked him up and held him close to me.
    4. Released my arms to see if he would get down, though I was sitting on the stairs. He did leave my arms and kind of froze in place.
    5. Then, went up the second flight of stairs and at the top,
continued to walk and peed at the same time, not squatting like they do to pee.
    6. I picked him up so he wouldn't pee on the carpet anymore. Put him in the laundry room sink,
ran down and got his carrier, put it in the car and went back up to get Murphy-he was still in the sink, quite unusual for him.
    8. While in the sink, he was panting really hard and shaking.
    8. Continued to pant until we got to VCA. .
