Creating ideas can be easy and fun, but everybody can relate to the fear of actually showing your creations to other people. Sarah May Shogan's talk is about overcoming the fear of rejection. In most cases, the value of the message to be shared is worth overcoming the fear of showing it. Even if the content isn't of high quality, or is rough around the edges, taking the step to put it out there for all to see shows courage. Sarah hopes to inspire young artists to showcase their artwork even though it scares them. Sarah May Shogan is an 18 year old film student who will be attending film school in 2017. Film is an important part of her lifestyle and is an amazing outlet for new concepts and ideas. Sarah decided she wanted to enter a career in film after directing plays in high school and being apart of the cast and crew for her high school musicals. Her plan is to pursue a film career focussing on developing political documentaries and the working with the music industry. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
