Julian "De La Blanca" Cooper is a Professional Runway Instructor with 20 years of experience. He began his training on the rough streets of NYC during the late 1980's. He has successfully mastered the art of Runway. He is also, an expert in the art of vogue and has mastered both effortlessly. With the knowledge and the experience he has gained he has been sought out by many to be a mentor. His unique method of instruction and mentoring has helped build character, confidence and the success of many young adults in today's harsh urban society."

During his youth, he frequented clubs like The Tunnel, Underground, Redzone, Traxx, Limelight and Roxy and there is where he met Amy from the House of Xtravaganza their Women's Voguer and the late William Leake (Willi Ninja) from the House of Ninja. Under their instruction he developed a unique style of Vogue that is patient, classic and clean. His coaching of members of the Houses of Milan and the House of Ninja brought trophies in categories such as Women's Voguing, Women's Runway, Women's Face and Voguing over all. Julian, began performing at those very same clubs where he had grown as a professional. And by the early 1990's he was traveling the world. His dancing has graced the pages of magazines and has been seen around the globe. Though he is now based in NYC, his students have gone on to teach, and tour internationally, all the while, continuing the legacy of Vogue and showing the world it's beauty.

Julian is a man with a big heart. You will find him involved in youth outreach activities with organizations like The Hispanic Aids Forum and The Door. Julian's passion and ambitious journey helps him connect with today's aspiring youth who face similar obstacles. All the unique individuals that come in contact with him become more in love with who they are because they are reminded by Julian of a simple truth-- “Life is a Runway" .
