The legendary DJ & producer Swedish Egil talks about the many, many amazing nights at the Alexandria Hotel in downtown Los Angeles! Back in the glory days of the American rave scene in the 1990s, the Alexandria was one of the key centers for underground rave parties in the city. This dilapidated, grungy former luxury hotel was the place where many of the country's best rave DJs learned their craft before going on to conquer American dance floors. Long considered one of the most important stops on the SoCal rave circuit, the Alexandra occupies a special place in the hearts and minds of the fans who were there when electronic music swept across the continent. The Alexandria also has a chapter devoted to it in the pages of the new rave photo book "DANCEFLOOR THUNDERSTORM: Land Of The Free, Home Of The Rave", coming soon from 5150 Publishing. www.dancefloorthunderstorm.com Also available on Amazon.com: https://www.amazon.com/dp/0615980414 Music by Interstate and Mark Lewis; used with permission.
