In this tutorial I'll show you how make an easy evil Captain Kirk tunic from the mirror universe. I had several requests for this tunic from Spacepirates hobbies, Vulcanfan743, and Upandovertherover7. And if you watch it long enough, you'll see evil Kirk moonwalking ;-) 

MATERIALS USED: 
1 yard of gold fabric - you may need more depending on your size (I used: goo.gl/Dq4fXU) 
2 feet of gold fringe (I used: goo.gl/gLYkAd) 
Gold sash fabric long enough to go around your waist and hang down to your knees (I used: goo.gl/SsSvTa) 
Snaps, (or a zipper, or velcro) for front closure 
Scissors
Hot glue gun 
Needle and gold thread 
1 sheet of cardstock 
Scrap pieces of cardboard 
Paint: (I used Country Red: https://amzn.to/2DvCnI5, Cadmium yellow: http://amzn.to/2GeyFV2, Tangelo Orange: https://amzn.to/2FbL379, Titanium White: http://amzn.to/2F9INgv, Bittersweet Orange: https://amzn.to/2DANcc5) 
Metallic gold puffy paint (I used: https://amzn.to/2rzLKVL) 
Scrap piece of silver or gold trim 
Wavy edged decorative shears 
Sticky backed velcro for attaching awards to finished tunic
