So, my Wii is modded and I have Taiko no Tatsujin for it now. Yay.

I have kind of a strange set-up; my Wii's in the garage, I have my drum on a wooden desk, I place a six-pack of beer bottles in the front to keep the drum from sliding forward, I wrap my coat over it to keep from whacking it with the sticks, and I wrap the sleeves around the drum to (try to) keep it from sliding to the sides. Naturally, I wish I could play on an Arcade Taiko controller, but that's not going to happen any time soon.

I just recorded a random run of me playing one of my favorite songs in the game on Oni. This is 夜桜謝肉祭 (Yozakura Shanikusai), a Namco Original. The title translates to "Nighttime Sakura Carnival" or "Evening Sakura Carnival", but I like to call it "Yozakura Carnival". This chart is a 10* (out of 10) in difficulty. It's one of the easier 10*'s, definitely, but it's still a 10*. It's dense, it's pretty fast, and the ending is nasty, with all the switching around you have to do. I failed it by 2-3 bars repeatedly before I could pass it. If you can keep up with it, though, it's really fun.

I also had to move much closer to the screen and turn the brightness of my TV way down to catch both the drum and the screen, so this video's setup isn't fully advantageous either, but overall this wasn't a bad run. Certainly one of my best in terms of miss counts. My score could've been better, but that's what I get for having a drum and setup that likes to drop combos.
