The First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan has advised Nigerian Children to imbibe good morals and take education as top priority in order to be good citizens who will contribute to the nation's development. She gave the advice while celebrating with the young Nigerians at the Villa to mark this year's children day. The first lady emphasized that the President Goodluck Jonathan's administration remains committed to upholding the rights of the children and determined to ensure that children realize their full potentials.
Dame Patience Jonathan says on her part as the mother of the nation, she will continue to pursue peace for the nation.
The First Lady asked the children to join hands with their parents in praying for the release of the abducted girls of the Government Girls School, Chibok.
The children, who had earlier presented a message to the First Lady requesting Boko Haram sect to release the girls, were entertained by a popular Nigerian Musician Solomon Lange.
