Here's a little present for all you fans and friends of my late mom Evelyn (or "Evvie" as she was known). One of the fun things about growing up in our neighborhood was that our next door neighbors the Cooks owned a movie camera. As Greg and I became best friends with Jerry his mom Peggy would film family events, outings and even a c...ouple of our bands first gigs. Recently Jerry surprised me by giving me an MP4 file he'd converted of one of these movies his mom had taken of my mom rehearsing with Joan O'Meara's Can Can girls. These women would get together around Rhododendron Festival time and perform for festival functions. This footage looks to me like it was shot up at PTHS or maybe down at the Rec Center. I couldn't resist making a little movie for you . . .so, enjoy watching Evvie and her friends doing something she really loved - dancing!
