At Jeanie Jokinen's house in Iron Mountain, Michigan, people have been stopping and looking at a carved tree dedicated to ALL Veteran's. In the short time I was there, many cars pulled over and stopped to look. See more: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYsxQV5JCvk

Jeanie told me her husband and she had originally planned to have this made for their son who served as an IED Hunter , but then it became clear, this was going to be for ALL Veteran's serving our country.

SISU is Finnish and stands for "Guts Hard Working Perseverance"

The dog tags on the tree represent soldiers in Donnie's unit "Sapper" who were killed while he was in Iraq with them. On the side is the name SGT. Voakes, he was a soldier from Baraga, Michigan who was killed in Afghanistan last year. There is a Young Eagle feather that was carved into the tree, in Robert's Memory...

"Potlicker" of Rhinelander, Wisconsin is the artist who did this work. It is amazing to see the work he did to this tree, Everything you see is from the actual tree. I think the boots, gun and helmet is the best out of it all.
