Mmusi Maimane has until 6 o'clock tonight to retract and apologise publicly for accusations he made against former DA councillors.  He tweaked his weekly newsletter after five former City of Cape Town councillors threatened to sue him for the accusations. 
Shaun August, Suzette Little, Siya Mamkeli, Thulani Stemele and Greg Barnardo resigned from the council last week, in solidarity with outgoing mayor Patricia de Lille.
