you know what causes inflation since the zeitgeist picture
but here's a little primer in case you missed it
there's a fixed amount of wealth in the currency system
the printing press running at a steady bloody rhythm

what happens to the pennies you have on the shelf
the cent means nothing, the copper you can melt

economy fell down like timber
empire went down while they prayed to persephone
then the same thing happened when it happened in rome

fiscal bastards trying to be economic masters

in the weimar they papered their walls with deutschmarks
in the US, they'll burn benjamins to keep warm in the dark

and asx 200 is over 5 now
if you price the dow in dollars like a halfwit
you're measuring against a meaningless yardstick

fiat money is arbitrary obviously
try measuring the dow in physical commodities
gold, silver, oil, beef or wheat 
and you'll see the drop is steep, indeed

so walk into a bank and say withdraw
they ask how much, tell them you want it all
wait a minute while they pick up their jaw 
and try to scrounge all the cash from the floor

they'll try shock and awe but stay true to form
count the cash carefully before movin on 
and if you find they can't come up with it right
start makin a scene like "it's a wonderful life"
