Eastleigh - 1994. Often came here after tea. Some good lads collected here and the action started around 8.00 pm. Night made little difference as the station and yard were well lit. 60s were common, 37s too, and Cromptons - the 33s - made an appearance from time to time. 47s were the main stay, being used almost exclusively on the Southampton Birmingham freightliners. These mostly went via Reading West and Didcot, Oxford.
