An industry forecast holds that China will become the world’s largest manufacturer of unmanned aerial vehicles (or UAVs) over the next decade. Express delivery service provider JD.com is planning to build 150 drone airports in southwestern Sichuan province to inaugurate its UAV delivery service. Amazon is also ‘piloting’ its PrimeAir drone deliveries in England, it announced on it official site. Apart from their recreational uses, drones also find many other commercial and governmental applications, but they have a definite dark side. The proliferation of UAVs is raising concerns about their negative effects, particularly on commercial aviation.
