This uses the same control system as the hover platform (which was developed to prove the control concept). Instead of a thruster, this uses two pairs of opposite flapping wings powered by an expression 2 (as it adds minimal weight and is highly adjustable) with a 160 degree flap angle (80 degrees +- in each stroke), this is harder and heavier to achieve with a wheel and crank. The wings are av. ballsocketed in the pitch axis to two wheels (two wings in opposite pairs per wheel), these are constrained in the pitch axis by two sets of elastics 90 degrees to each other. This assures roughly constant resistance indifferent of angle (as one pair will always have a relatively good leverage to the wing), removing the need for high speed/strength solenoids rotating the wings as they will not collapse under load.
