Jose play's the following on the piano: Piece 1: "Fantasie Impromptu" by Frederic Chopin Piece 2: "Waltz in C# Minor Op. 64 No. 2" by Frederic Chopin Piece 3: "Prelude II (Blue Lullaby)" by George Gershwin Piece 4: "Prelude in C# Minor Op. 3 No. 2" by Sergei Rachmaninoff Jose Nicholas Francisco has been playing piano since he was six-years-old. Classically trained, he has worked for the past twelve years with a personal instructor who studied at the Juilliard School of Music. Although Jose has studied all periods of music-- from Baroque to Contemporary-- his favorite period both to study and perform is the Romantic period, as exemplified by his current, Chopin-dominant repertoire. Aside from his piano career, Jose is also a performing magician, a nationally ranked Extemporaneous Speaker, and a volunteer for Cleveland Clinic Florida. Jose is attending Stanford University in the fall. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
