Late winter and early spring snow is rare but not unheard of. Just last year, central Pennsylvania was hit by Winter Storm Stella with 14.7 inches of snow on March 14. Stella ranked in third place in the region for a March snow. The record March snow was 20.4 inches on March 13-14, 1993. Central Pa. also had measurable snow in April 2016.
