The month of October is used to raise awareness for several things. Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) is one of them. Sudden Infant Death Syndrome is the unexplained death, usually during sleep of a seemingly healthy baby less than a year old, after a thorough case investigation. Head of the Children's Assessment Unit at the NWRHA, Dr. Sam Seecharan, told Mahalia Joseph-Wharton all about the importance of educating families and the public about preventing SIDS.
