HISTORY: The monastery was founded in 1875 by Agnus Dei Franciscan nuns who due to the Kulturkampf in Prussia, were diverted to Belgium. To finance the church it was also used as elderly and nursing home. In 1910 they build a chapel, dedicated to St. Anthony. In 2002, the monastery was described as inefficient and the nuns moved to another monastery. Agnus Dei was put on sale, but burned only a few months later. Due to disagreements between owners and the insurance are the buildings today still blank.
