"Fascia Facilitates Fossilization" in wet fine muds and the result is Mudfossils. WHY you ask? Because Fascias job is to isolate organs and bone and lungs and tendon fibrils and all parts from other tissues and if KEPT WET FOREVER it simply keeps working as it is virtually inert and non reactive to much of anything if wet. Acidic PH is the exception.
