Thursday 27th July 2017 saw three C-17s at Prestwick at the same time - one Canadian (tech), One RAF and one NATO The RAF one was up first and in jig time. The NATO plane asked 3 times for wind speed and direction at the start, the middle and the end of the runway. He also asked for the exact distance from his plane to the end of the runway. He took fully 10 minutes until he was happy enough to depart on runway 30 with a slight crosswind - he was even offered 012 by ATC! He was heavy.
