The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System boasts an award-winning research and development program with 100-plus investigators involved in more than 260 projects. This research spans several avenues of science, from Alzheimers disease to Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and schizophrenia. VA Pittsburgh is also home to four of the country's 15 VA National Centers of Excellence and is building a state-of-the-art research center, slated for completion in 2012.
