Lamb Of God's Randy Blythe Manslaughter Trial Day 3 in the Czech Republic -- Trial will be Postponed -- and Randy Releases a Statement!

WTVR.com reported that Lamb Of God vocalist Randy Blythe's manslaughter trial is going to be postponed until March 4th after the February 7th proceedings.
The defense were granted the delay as a key witness is sick and unable to attend. Randy will be able to return to the U.S. and advised the court he would return to Prague, next month when the trial continues.

As day three of the trial concluded February 6th the proceedings seemed to have focused on attendees of the concert as they gave testimony, most seemed to help Randy's defense.

One witness testified on Randy's character, advising that Blythe's stage presence was typical of a metal show; and metal musicians look menacing from the stage. This was to counter the prosecutions claims of Randy having an "aggressive and antisocial personality".

Testimony was also heard from former staff of the club where the show took place.

The family of the deceased are seeking compensation of over $500,000 U.S. dollars in connection with the charges. Randy is also facing possible jail time if found guilty. Check out Novinky.cz for more info.

Randy also released a statement on his Instagram account February 5th, stating:

"I have read a few news reports of the progress of my case, and trust me- many things are incorrect. But this is the Internet, and of course things are half-baked anyway. Keep in mind that translation is difficult, and many things can be lost, for Czech is a VERY DIFFICULT language.

So wait and see, as I am. It is all I can do, except be honest & fight for my freedom in my own way. I also have heard of some people (not on here) talking smack about the Czech Republic, saying "Fuck the Czech Republic", etc. This not how it should be.

This is a very sad case, not something to rage at people you do not know over. . A fan of my band is dead- what do I have to be angry about? I am an INNOCENT man, but I am also a very sad man right now.

To not be sad in this instance would be inhuman. But mad at the Czech people? Why would I be mad at them? Here, look at this picture- a mother watches her baby. The child reaches out for something new, laughing and chasing a pretty picture in the air.

It is the same here as everywhere else. Do you see?!?!? Life is beautiful. I hope to see y'all soon"
