More space news and info at: http://www.coconutsciencelab.com - asteroid 2014 JO25 has a contact binary structure -- two lobes connected by a neck-like region. The largest of the asteroid's two lobes is estimated to be 2,000 feet (610 meters) across. The resolution of the radar images is about 25 feet (7.5 meters) per pixel.

On April 19 of this year, 2014 JO25 approached to within 1.1 million miles (1.8 million kilometers) of Earth.
