Sugarcane farmers have warned to forcefully enter into the premises of Sanjivani sugar factory and start the operations on Thursday, if government fails to start factory by Wednesday. Farmers held a meeting with factory administrator, South Goa MP Narendra Sawaikar and Sanguem MLA Prasad Gaonkar to discuss the further course of action as government had given deadline of Dec 8.
MP Sawaikar, however has convinced farmers for 4 more days as factory has to set up ETP and some other machinery as per GSPCB orders.
