After a busy summer behind the dj booth, Nick Varon is back to the studio and delivers three original productions, aptly named the ‘Hiatus' EP. 

Opening with title track, ‘Hiatus’ warm pads underpin the woodblock driven percussion. Building slowly, the main motifs reveal themselves wrapped in melancholy rage as only the Greek wunderkind can do. 
Taking things up several notches, ‘Clarity’ is a more muscular groove. Industrial FX and eerie pads add to the vibe, creating tension and longing. 
Rounding out the EP is ‘Later On’, a step further towards peak-time energy. Percussive and menacing in equal measures, this is Varon homing in on the room and going for the jugular. Dark pads intermix with rising hooks giving drive and purpose in the break before pianos offset the tension with punctuated joy.
