A strong upper level low tracked north to be situated over the Central Coast with 500mb temperatures down to an impressive -20c. Rarely does the tropics experience such cold mid levels and also have enough moisture to fire off storms... especially in Winter! That's just what happened. I enjoyed a nice little storm chase on my trip back from the Bundaberg Air Show
