REPLICA 1968 Planet of the Apes Gorilla Carbine Deluxe Airsoft 35th Anniversary Edition This amazing replica was painstakingly researched, patterned, fabricated, and detailed by master Hollywood modelers to match the original rifles used in the classic first Apes movie. So much attention was paid to even the finest of details in order to match the screen-used movie icons. Genuine leather straps, swivel hardware and screws, and strap bands all were meticulously duplicated to match the original movie props. Even the paint scheme has been themed to replicate the battle worn weapons of our favorite cinema simian solders! The stock has been sealed with a hi-gloss automotive clear-coat to protect the expert faux wood detailing. Man, when I was ten years old, I could only dream about having such a cool toy as this from my favorite movie/tv show! Instead the only toys available in those days were crummy re-purposed toy Thompson sub-machine guns and old west Winchesters that the toy companies just slapped Planet of the Apes stickers on to make them "official" apes merchandise. Bummer! I know we were just kids, but come on! Make the toy we want! http://apemania.com/TOYS/ToyMasks&guns.jpeg http://apemania.com/TOYS/WHAT_IT_WASx3.jpg Slapping a Planet of the Apes sticker on a six shooter doesn't make it a Planet of the Apes gun! Who did they think they were kidding? Not "us" kids! So we made our own!
