Anti Corruption Crusade : Activists Advocate More Role For Youths

Efforts by Government to eradicate corruption at the grassroots, can best be achieved when the youth are assigned roles in the fight. Some youth activists and members of civil society organisations made known to journalists during a sensitization walk against corruption in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital. Speaking with journalists, some of the organisers said youths have roles to play in the fight against corruption, as the future of every country, including that of Nigeria, lies with its youths. They said youths have to develop high sense of integrity that will enable them to be united, develop high ethical and moral standards, rather than joining the corrupt politicians. Rivers State Coordinator of the national orientation agency Young Ayo-Tamuno call on the youth to get their permanent voters card ahead of the 2019 general election and to discourage voting buying when exercising their franchise in electing leaders in the country.
