In 2011 Larissa Milne and her husband Michael sold their house, gave away most of their belongings and set out to travel the world for what we thought would be a year. Global nomads for more than two years now, they've learned that by living more simply, with less stuff, they can travel longer and further than they ever dreamed possible. Somewhere along the way they realized they had created the next phase of their lives, collecting experiences instead of things. Follow their journey at their award wining blog www.changesinlongitude.com In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
