NHL Set to Expand to Seattle + New Ottawa Arena Update The NHL looks ready to approve another expansion team making it a 32 team league. It is expected that Seattle will be approved as the 32nd franchise tomorrow. NHL realignment will also be part of the announcement as the league will reveal it's plan. NHL realignment 2020 will likely see Arizona moving to the central division. So will the NHL expansion 2020 proceed as we expect? Stay tuned for tomorrow when the information is confirmed. The Ottawa Senators also want a new downtown arena at Lebreton Flats and I discuss the latest on that subject which could lead to the Sens having new ownership.
