In the recent GST Councel meeting has announced a major slash down on taxes of 23 goods. Movie tickets, 32 inch television, digital camera, video game consoles has been shifted from the tax slab of 28 percent to 18 percent. The decision has been taken in the 31st GST Council Meeting. Now, only 34 items come into GST's 28% slab and most of them are luxury items. Accessories for carriages for specially-able persons have been lowered to 5%. After the tax slab implementation, Goa government will face a monthly loss of 5-10 crores in revenue.
